Ian Psegodschi
Ian Psegodschi was born in Chisinau, Rep. of Moldova. At the age of 7, he began his violin and viola studies in the Music High School “Ciprian Porumbescu” in the class of Caftanat Tamara and graduated cum laude at the age of 19.During his studies he has won many International competitions as “C. Elski”, Minsk, Belarus; “Citta di Riccione” Italy; “Antonio Salieri” Italy, and many others, and also attended the CYO European Youth Orchestra. After his graduation in 2009 he continued his studies in the Music Conservatory “G. Verdi” in Milano in the class of Claudio Pavolini, while in the same time working with the Orchestra Academia Teatro La Scala. In 2011, Ian started studying with Michael Kugel and till nowadays studies with him first in the Royal Conservatory of Gent and from 2013 in the Zuyd Maastricht Conservatory. From 2014 on, Ian has been working with the National Orchestra of Belgium as a permanent member. In the 2017 as a member of the Malevich Piano Quartet, won the 2nd prize at the Storioni competition.
Op zondag 1 november 2020 treedt Ian met het Malevich Piano Quartet op in de kerk van Mook.
